Country Day Montessori offers a safe and caring community in which children can be successful and one that works in harmony with the development and nature of each child. We encourage and promote the development of confidence, independence, self-discipline, social, academic, and personal excellence.

“I have four children and am a pediatrician. My kids have always attended Montessori, to include private grade school in Colorado. After we moved to Texas, I wanted to continue in this style of education. We are also enrolled at MSSA as well for a point of reference. My kids enroll for the summer and really enjoyed themselves. Yes, they came home with sand in their hair, paint on their clothes, and dirt in their fingernails. Yes, they played outside at all times of day and required daily sunscreen (I’ll take that any day to bundling up toddlers for snowy weather for 10 minutes of playtime). My kids left me each day without hesitation, eager to start their school day. I was greeted warmly by each teacher and felt they knew my kids well. My kids came home with a wide array of topics to discuss, which varied weekly through the entire summer. The staff was always professional and quick to communicate any concerns with me. The facility is a little older, but don’t let that fool you. I think this is a great place for a true Montessori style program with a great emphasis on early education.”

“I interviewed a few schools was impressed with the school’s methodology on how they educate their students. Country Day is one of best schools in San Antonio – they challenge the kids academically, while instilling leadership and character building skills. From robotics to the annual MMUN trip, along with the variety of field trips and the outdoor school, CDMS offers an approach to learning beyond the classroom and truly surpasses the education that my kids were getting in public school. Country Day helped my kids overcome a few learning obstacles in separate subjects and now their test scores are truly impressive.”

“Wonderful school!! My child was in the pre-primary program at this school this past year, and we can’t say enough about how wonderful the experience was. The school, the teachers, the staff, the parents and the students are all top notch! The teachers are compassionate and caring and provide an environment for safe exploration and learning. The Montessori approach is really great for teaching responsibility and independence in a fun and allowing way. My child’s social, emotional, intellectual, and physical skills really improved throughout the year in a positive way. I recommend this school to any parent seeking help raising their children in a loving, caring, and stimulating environment!”

mother with her daughter dropping off in school

“My wife and I visited the school and were very impressed with the independence and responsibilities given to the students. We enjoyed a tour of the goats and animals being managed by the class, and were very impressed with the poise, communication skills and responsibility demonstrated by the students giving us our tour! Individual attention for each student’s specific situation is something that I personally have always valued in my educational pursuits. I’d say this school appears committed to a community environment with individual freedom and responsibility expected. A good place to learn in my opinion!”

“This is my child’s third year at TSACDS and our family could not be happier. It’s a warm, wonderful learning environment where a child’s individuality is celebrated. My only wish is that my child could stay until college.”

My three-and-half-year-old daughter has attended SACDS for one regular school year and the recently concluded summer Spanish program. I have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for the head of school, the teachers, the support staff, and the program within which their students thrive. My daughter is happy and growing in every way at this school; I look forward to my young son experiencing the same joyful, strong development in the coming years. I consider SACDS our Montessori haven; it’s the kind of environment every child should know.”

two siblings studying in same school

“I have two children attending this school and I couldn’t be more thankful. The entire faculty is wonderful. I was not familiar with the Montessori method and took a chance on the school. Well the years keep passing and I keep re-enrolling. My children love the school. Thank you Ms. Betty Williams for founding this school.”

a boy studying in school

“I couldn’t have found a better place for my boys! I searched many different schools and wasn’t familiar with the Montessori Method until I found Country Day School. They placed my twin boys in separate classes and their teachers were a perfect fit. I get great communication from the teachers, head of school and the staff. The school is a renovated old farm house, complete with a goose, goats and gardens outside the playground. I am very impressed with the huge strides my boys have made both cognitively and socially in just one half of the school year. I would recommend this school to my family members and best of friends!!”
