About Us
Our History
Founded in 1983 by Miss Betty Williams as San Antonio Country Day Montessori School, CDM began in a charming Hill Country farmhouse with a commitment to authentic Montessori education. What started with Pre-Primary and Primary classrooms grew alongside the families we served, eventually expanding to Lower and Upper Elementary.
In 2003, we added an elementary building to support our growing school. In 2021, new ownership carried the school’s legacy forward while maintaining its woman-owned status. That same commitment to meeting families’ needs led to the addition of our Infant Program, followed by another campus expansion in 2023.
Today, Country Day Montessori continues a tradition of individualized learning, growing independence, and meaningful connections — with more than four decades of experience helping children discover what they’re capable of.

With dedicated reading and writing instruction, art, motor development, and enrichment opportunities, children have room to grow academically, socially, and creatively.
