Montessori School Enrollment
Choosing a school is a big decision. At Country Day Montessori, we believe families should have the opportunity to see our Montessori environment in action, ask questions, and experience our community before deciding if CDM is the right fit.
Our Montessori school enrollment process is personal by design. We want to get to know your family, meet your child, and make sure our Montessori program is a good fit for everyone.
Your Path to Enrollment
TOUR → APPLICATION → OBSERVATION → PARENT ORIENTATION → ENROLLED
1. Schedule a Tour
Start by visiting our San Antonio Montessori school and seeing the classroom environment for yourself. Tours give you the opportunity to observe Montessori education in action, explore our 4.5 acre campus and outdoor spaces, and learn what makes Country Day Montessori different.
Our tours are designed to give families a genuine look at the school day—not just a walk through the building. You’ll see Montessori materials in use, learn about our classrooms and programs, and have an opportunity to ask questions about your child’s education.
2. Submit an Application
After your tour, families who would like to move forward complete an application for their child. Our application process helps us learn more about your family and your child’s educational needs.
Applications are completed through Brightwheel, our family communication and school management platform.
3. Student Observation
Next comes the student observation. Children from Pre-Primary through Elementary have the opportunity to spend time in their prospective classroom while our team observes how they engage with the environment, materials, teachers, and other students.
This gives our team an opportunity to get to know your child beyond an application and helps us determine whether the classroom environment is a good fit for their current stage of development and learning.
4. Parent Orientation
Once your child is accepted, we’ll walk you through the next steps and prepare your family for life at CDM.
Parent Orientation gives you the information you need to understand our school routines, communication, expectations, and what to expect as your child begins their Montessori education at Country Day Montessori.
5. Enrolled & Ready for the First Day
Once enrollment is complete, your family becomes part of the Country Day Montessori community.
Then comes the fun part: getting ready for your child’s first day.
Need to Get Started Before Your Tour?
We know schedules can be busy, and sometimes making it to a tour right away isn’t easy. If you’d like to get a head start, you’re welcome to complete our application through Brightwheel.
Submitting an application does not replace the tour or the next steps in our enrollment process. We’ll still want to meet your family, see your child in the classroom through an observation, and complete parent orientation before enrollment is finalized.
Why Visit Country Day Montessori?
Choosing a Montessori school is about more than finding an available spot. It’s about finding an environment where your child can learn, grow, and become increasingly independent.
At Country Day Montessori, our classrooms are prepared around the developmental needs of each age group, with Montessori materials, purposeful work, and opportunity for children to build independence at their own pace. Our 4.5-acre campus also gives students room to experience learning beyond the classroom, from gardens and outdoor spaces to our barnyard with goats and chickens.
The best way to understand our Montessori school in San Antonio is to see it for yourself.
