1. School Tour

At Country Day Montessori, the first step in our admission process is to schedule an informational meeting and tour of our school and campus. We wish for our parents/guardians to discover and learn about our school values, philosophy, and practices. Visiting the campus and classroom allows parents to observe the Montessori classroom in progress, giving visitors a first hand look at our environment and practices .  Schedule a Tour here.

2. Application

After touring our school campus, and determining whether Country Day Montessori is the right fit for your child, an Application Form will be completed and returned to CDM with a $100.00 nonrefundable application fee.

3. Observation

Upon receipt of the Admission Application, Country Day Montessori will contact you to schedule a student observation, and discussion with the Head of School. 

• A student observation for Toddler (18 months-3 years) and Primary candidates (3-6 years) may consist of a thirty minute to one-half day long visit in the applicable classroom.

4. Application Decision

Following the completed observation(s), all applicable paperwork is submitted to the CDM for review and acceptance decision.  Admission decisions are based on an evaluation of the child’s school visit, the school’s confidence that the student’s needs can be met, evidence that the school and family are a suitable fit for the CDM community, and the school, the parents, and the student commit to share equally in the educational process.  Admission decisions are communicated via phone or in writing.

5. Financial Assistance

Families may apply for financial assistance after receiving notice of acceptance of their child.  Please see our Financial Assistance information below for more information.

​6. Enrollment

Along with notice of acceptance, the enrollment contract is presented for signature. Upon receipt of the signed contract and non-refundable enrollment deposit, the child is considered enrolled.

​At Country Day Montessori, formal registration for fall begins in February for our Primary, Lower Elementary, and Upper Elementary Programs. To be placed on our Wait List, turn in an application along with the $100.00 non-refundable application fee. When openings become available, parents or guardians will be notified. Families receive a grace period of 48 hours to decide if they would like to complete the enrollment process, effectively securing their child’s spot.

Enrollment For Continuing Students

Formal registration for the following Fall term begins in February, with registration ongoing until class sizes are full. Wait lists are maintained and when openings become available parents/guardians will be contacted.

Before admission, an enrollment contract complete with registration fee, Physician’s Statement, current shot record, and automatic tuition payment authorization must be on file in the Admission’s Office.

Please Note: There is a $100 application fee.  Application and registration fees are non-negotiable and non-refundable.

Country Day Montessori is a provider for the following child care assistance programs:

CCS, Child Care Services: The Child Care Services (CCS) division of the City of San Antonio partners with Alamo Area Development Cooperation (AADC) to provide child care and provider management services for Bexar County, and 11 surrounding areas including: Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Medina, and Wilson.

NACCRA aka CCA: Child Care Aware of America is our nation’s leading voice for child care. They work with state and local Child Care Resource and Referral agencies (CCR&Rs) and other community partners to ensure that all families have access to quality, affordable child care.
